Nice one Fum. That Subaru has it's own...errr...errr...charm? :D

I had no idea about manual gears either, I'm going to try it in the free drive mode just to see what it's like.

So, no advances on that blistering 2:40.68 from W1DGET, congrats on the first time trial title!

The next challenge is in your hands, what will it be?

I fancy some PGR 3/4 but not sure if everyone still has these games? Don't want to exclude people.

I don't have PGR anymore, but others might? Or, if there is a demo with a car and track that could work as our challenge?

Yes it is, and W1DGET would agree with you. Picking a demo would be a good idea :)

Well if we are going to do a demo we could do the new F1 2012 demo, if you choose the race you get 5 laps on Monza.

Sounds good. Plus it's multi-format too, so PS3 users can play.

Yeah, sounds good to me, and everyone gets to try out the F1 games :D

I'm not sure if they've had a demo out before as I normally know I'm going to end up purchasing anyway!

Sounds good. Racing line off is a bastard on Monza though, freaking chicane kills me even with it on!

I'd definitely say so, more than most racing games bar the likes of rFactor etc it depends on lap consistency and in an F1 car where your front end can be destroyed on one misjudged corner it can be quite a rush.

I really like the Codemasters F1 games, but best of all they have improved considerably release after release.

Yeah, they've been my favourite racing games on my Xbox, but I do also follow F1 quite closely.

I think you'll like the Codemasters versions Fum, as they reward good driving the same way something like Forza does. It is a different feel as they are very responsive, but you've got the chops, no doubt - I've seen what you can do in a Datsun ;)

Just had a few races around Monza and best lap was 1:26.013.

I know they say it is only a demo, but I found the steering a little more twitchy than 2011 I think. Mainly when moving into the right line at the end of the straights. Mind you, the medium TC seemed a bit more reasonable, and there was better audio feedback from the tyres, before it just seemed to suddenly go.

Is it a different car to the one you used in 2011 perhaps?

They're always tweaking the handling model to get it on. If you remember 2011 was hugely different from 2010.
