Same. Weird West looks cool. Also noticed it’s on Game Pass too, which is a bonus!

Looks like chrono cross isn't being looked at too favorably, Squeenix fans should be used to being whelmed.

Was really looking forward to it, too. Also, this is the first time Radical Dreamers(the prequel to cross) has been officially translated.

It has a 77% critical average, which is round about what I'd have expected for a quarter of a century old JRPG. 17% depreciation doesn't seem to bad to me!

I guess it isn't the stellar, loving remaster it could have been, however..?

I've seen reviews ranging from 4/10 to 10/10, too. I would imagine if you enjoyed the original this is still going to make you happy.

I made the mistake of looking at steam reviews, as I wasn't sure if it was even out yet. The framerate seems REALLY bad. That being said, SQueenix at least seems to have calmed down in terms of their premium pricing as it's only $20 USD. I'll probably still grab it, maybe it was silly of me to want to be blown away, lol...Jeff Grubb did some great analysis on the Squeenix mentality and part of me hoped this would lead to bigger and better things!

EDIT:

The framerate is so bad it's causing people to get sick, so some serious caveat emptor if that sort of thing effects you!

Even for a retro-apologist like me, £35 is a big ask for seven previous Arcade Archives releases that you’re already likely to have several of if Taito Milestones interests you, and three that haven’t made that cut yet.

Same. Not to mention the trackball controller that in retrospect I really didn’t need on top!

I recently picked up all three Atari Flashback Classics games for a tenner each, and there were 50 games in each collection. ten games in a retro collection, in 2022 is utterly insane.

Having said that, if I had a Switch i'd probably buy it just for Ninja Warriors and Elevator Action.

You can get them both separately as standalone Arcade Archive titles anyway. I guess this package is only good value for someone who wants all the games on it, otherwise you might as well cherry pick from the majority that are available on their own.

Thing is you can get those two for £6 each already.

Might download Bugsnax on Gamepass, the kids liked the look of it. I may give Stanley Parable another shot on Switch too (unless that's also on GP) but I bounced fairly hard off it on PC a few years back. It just felt too....smug.
