I've only played a couple of hours to see what it was like before putting it away for another day, but yeah what I played seemed good. It had decent reviews, too. X-Com with cowboys, pretty much. It's regularly on sale on the Switch for £2 or less, too.

Got Hard West on Switch when on sale. Definitely recommend it. Great for XCom fans with a great narrative as well. I'd give it a solid 5 chambers out 6 on the old 6 Shooter.

Picked it up! Seems very good with some technical issues. I'm playing Steamworld Heist at the moment but once that's done i'll be headed to Hard West again.

Steamworld Heist! What a game. Played that a couple of years ago on iOS. Brilliant 2D XCOM-like game.

If you're looking for another XCOM style game then I can recommend Templar Battleforce for Steam, iOS or Android. Superb top down strategy. Reminds me of Warhammer 40k as well.

Hmm interesting, I thought I'd read this was going to be F2P, but apparently not.

I tried to go back and play Hard West after finishing X-Com 2 yesterday and just couldn't get back in to it, which is a shame. It looks so nice, and I really like the setting and atmosphere, but the actual battles just didn't feel as satisfying. Maybe I'll go back to it at a later date, but there were just a few things which were different to X-Com (which is fine, it's a different game) and didn't click with me right now.

yeah I still need to head back to it but alas, time and energy are my worst enemy in the school holidays!

Have you gone in on it after the positive reviews? I've only started but so far it's a blast. Controls well with fantastic presentation.

Until the reviews came out, I honestly thought Rollerdrome was a multiplayer only game

I'm pretty sure it's purely singleplayer aside from scoreboards.

Yeah it is, I thought it was going to be PvP only from the first trailer I saw.
