I've read a few reviews for Gotham Knights and I can't say I'm particularly interested in playing it now. It's had a couple of good reviews but the rest seem to think it's very average, and IGN mentioned there isn't even a counter button which renders the combat a button mashing exercise and doesn't feel very Arkham at all. I know it's not an Arkham game, but I don't think it's unreasonable to think it would feel quite similar.

Yeah I have cooled on it somewhat, but I think I hear enough in the reviews to suggest I will get some enjoyment out of it so will wait till I see a good deal.

It's been a bit unique how the talk of Bayonetta 3 has gone from 'Don't buy it unless you're fine with big business ripping off artists' to 'Screw it, buy the thing regardless' within about two days.

Another one to add to this list which came out yesterday. The excellent Shattered Remastered.

For those who don't know, it's a brick breaker from the PS3 era with an incredible soundtrack. Really fun and fast paced gameplay. I know it's on Steam and Netflix. Not sure about other platforms.

And I have Xenoblade 3 on the backlog. I own that one. Not yet started.

Is it noble to cancel my preorders and wait for a sale given the circumstances?

I'm kind of excited for Sonic Frontiers. Not because I think it'll be good, but because of how I know several streamers I watch will play it and dunk on it. Someone needs to smack Sega in the head, point to Sonic Mania, and explain why 3D Sonic is a waste of time.

Tempted by Ragnarok but as I never finished the first game, I'll wait for a sale.

Cautiously optimistic for The Devil In Me. Not terribly impressed with the price hike - $40 was the right price for this type of game. $55 is a significant price hike. With The Quarry being $90(!), I may start buying these games a bit less frequently.

I wasn't going to play Pokemon this Gen, but I happened to have 3 games on my sell list that qualified for Gamestop's Trade 3 Get it Free deal (Xcom 2, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 and Steelrising), and I basically get back what I paid for those 3 to get Pokemon for $80. I'll get it, beat it, and resell it.

And maybe pick up The Chant. That one looks really compelling.

Doesn't Evil West come out this week too? Or was that delayed?

Evil West is November 22nd. I hope it's a goodun!

I'm most intrigued to see the reviews for Pentiment and Somerville this week.
