Hold the small record button on the controller (the one with the little circle) for a 30 second video. Then it will be in the album folder from the Switch's main menu.

From there you can upload it to Facebook or Twitter (I'm not on either) or download to a phone or tablet. I put it on Youtube from there.

Yeah it's a shame you can't define a longer record game, but I suppose its because drive space is significantly smaller in most cases than other consoles.

Do you guys ever play anything else online (or fancy playing anything else)? Mario Kart's definitely the easiest to set up and play but I'd be up for pretty much anything on Gamepass - games like Halo and Forza would work pretty well for 8-12 people.

It's a shame Smash Bros runs like treacle online - that'd be a blast.

The only other games I ever really play online are Red Dead Online and Fall Guys (both PS4), but I'd be open to pretty much any PS4/Switch meet up, assuming I had access to the game

I rarely play online. Just the odd random game of Splatoon 2 at the moment, always up for a Mario Kart evening though.

Never played Smash online as fighting games aren't a big thing for me. Shame to hear it runs poorly.

Going to be setting up another Mario Kart 8 session for the end of the month. Saturday 29th is what i'm thinking.
