Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
According to the Prophet, it looks like I'm in for a Small or Large Spike in neep prices this week, peaking tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon. Will keep you all posted, and obviously will open up my island as much as I can if I get a decent price.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
Excellent! My shop is closing tomorrow and I forgot what I paid for my turnips this week so can't make any accurate predictions for my island... In better news my home aquarium is coming along nicely, and I've got three Coelcanth whatever they're called fish in my storage waiting for CJ to come and stuff 'em for me.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
Well, Turnip Prophet confirmed that I'm on a "Large Spike" pattern this week, and my peak turnip price is...
*drum roll*
219 Bells!
Obviously, everyone is more than welcome to visit and sell their turnips, but I'll understand if you want to look elsewhere for an actual decent price.
Disappointing end to a disappointing run of turnip prices for the last 6 weeks now.

Anyone got a decent price today or predicted one for tomorrow? I've still got all my turnips to sell and not getting anywhere on my island!
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
142 for me tonight after 130 this morning
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
I’ve got a large bunch of rotting bastard Turinps this week as well.
We’re all in this together boys.

68 bells this morning, thankful I cashed out yesterday.
Had someone on my campsite today called Felicity who I played a red or black game with.

Oof, 39 for me now. I'm going to have to sell off island! If anyone has a price over 100 and is happy to open up this evening around 9pm I'd be super grateful!

68 and 62 today on mine, glad I cashed out yesterday
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
Argh this is incredibly irritating.
I've placed my shop and my campsite either side of a river mouth leading in to the sea. Because I so frequently need to use my pole to cross the river there when I'm combing the beach for clams and shells I thought I'd build a bridge there.
Trouble is, because the campsite and shop are close to the edge of the river, there isn't room to build a bridge. Hmm, bit of a pain, but ok, I'll spend some bells and shift the two sites over slightly, making room for the bridge.
No. You can't just move over slightly. When you go to Tom Nook and say you want to move a building (I did the campsite) he'll give you the kit to move it as usual, but you can't just move it over slightly as the old campsite is blocking it and you get a message saying not to put stuff too close together. What a pain in the arse! So just to move a building slightly you'd have to pay the 50k to move it once to a temporary location, then another 50k to move it back to the original spot, a couple of spaces over.
Seems like a bit of an oversight to me!

Yeah, it's not great. Ostensibly, that seems to happen because the game wants to ring fence the plot for the building to move to. Dunno if that's to avoid some problem with the way the game allocates space on the island, but I had to do a bit of shuffling to move everything to where I wanted it.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
I'll have to wait till I've got a few millions then rehouse everything haha.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
So 624 bells on my island this morning per Turnip. Nearly spat out my coffee out.

Never seen a number so high.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
Holy shit! Do you mind if I come on over? Is there anything you need?
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!
Hmm I'll have a look, I'm not sure I've got anything but I'll search my storage and dig something out!
