An absolutely bonkers price. This whole generation of consoles has just totally passsed me by. I got a refurbed Series S in an Amazon Black Friday deal last year - but that was only because my PS4 started to melt. TBH, it's only really used to watch TV. I bought Baldur's Gate 3, but have played maybe 5 hours total.

I've done nothing but play my Switch and play my Retroid Pocket this generation. (and look after my now 3yr old son - I think this is the largest reason I've totally fallen off gaming these last few years...)

Yeah Sony is taking the absolute piss with this pricing. Paying more for basic features which should be included is peak Sony arrogance and a repeat of their PS3 days when they thought they were unstoppable. I have to say the new generation has not been too enticing for me overall I'm afraid. I think once I have wrung out everything out of the PS4 (which will take quite a long time I reckon) I am going to go straight to Steam Deck.

It's been a thoroughly unimpressive console generation and at the same time - most expensive.

Meanwhile at Nintendo . . .

I gave the Alien: Isolation episode another listen a few weeks ago - Andy Kelly will have lost his mind at the news announced yesterday.

Romero’s past is legendary, but Daikatana was such a flop.

It's basically two years for the price of one for Nintendo Switch Online at the moment.

I had bought another year this October, but just purchased another year in the offer, and they email you a code to "give to a friend", except you can use the code yourself, so now I've got Switch online stacked up until October 2027

I think it expires today though so if you want to get the offer act quick! Works for normal as well as expansion pass.

Aside from an odd outlier 6/10 from Pure Xbox, the Indiana Jones reviews are positively glowing which is great news!

IGN: 9/10
GameSpot: 9/10
Eurogamer: 5/5
Games Radar: 5/5

Plus a whole host of other 8's and 9's!

Grand Theft Hamlet - the play performed within GTA. This appears to be a documentary about the making of this, and it looks interesting! And it's getting a theatrical release which must be a first!?

I really want to see this but none of my nearby cinemas are showing it so I'll have to wait for streaming.

Just watched the intergalatic trailer. I'm just glad that ND are doing something that doesn't look so dark and serious in tone again.

Overall in terms of announcements I thought it was the best show Geoff has done yet.

Completely agree - Okami 2, a new Ninja Gaiden, a new ND game, a new Virtua Fighter and Fumito Ueda's next game were all excellent announcements to wake up to!

Just when it seemed like Platinum were doomed with all the big names leaving they go and pull this. Perhaps there's hope for them after all. I guess it's finally time for me to give the Ninja Gaiden games a proper attempt too.

Aye, Platinum still has a pulse. The trailer for NG4 gives me Metal Gear Rising vibes and that's a good thing, I think.

They just released a remaster of NG2 out of nowhere that might be a good place to start with the series if you're interested in trying them out. Very difficult but very rewarding.

I actually already owned NG2 and 3, and I just picked up NG1 today to complete the collection. I have played the opening few hours of NG2 before but I bounced off it because of how brutal it is. Maybe NG1 will be a more gradual introduction.

I played whichever ones were released for Vita and thought they were quite fun. I'd give this new remaster a go on Gamepass if I ever played on my Xbox (or PS5) at the moment but for some reason I just can't motivate myself for anything at the moment.
