I believe with these you can set up non whitelisted players to be unable to mine anything, or if your'e feeling especially clever, you can set up a plot of land for the non- whitelisted players to mine in.
I've toyed with the idea of setting up a minecraft server, but I don't have a spare PC to keep running all day, and the paid minecraft serer options are a little over my budget.

I can rent the server so it will have 100% up time. I already rent one for myself and my friends, so i will get a discount. If someone could be an admin with me that would be great. Whitelist is just afool proof way of stopping none members getting on the server. Thanks for the world guard tip. I will look into it.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE TRYING TO JOIN THE SERVER
Server pluggins are Safe creeper, this means creepers do not distroy blocks but they can stil hurt you so be careful. I have also installed world edit so please dont use "wooden axes" as they are used to edit the world. I will build a small spawn area now to give people free "stone axes" so you dont use the wooden ones.
White List
The server is Whitelisted so send me your Minecraft names so I can add you to the whitelist. (you will not be able to log on if your not on the list)
Also for now TNT is turned off so you can craft it but it will do nothing. Just being safe in these early days of the server.
Last but not least. Once you are on the whitelist you will also be given "OP" which means we are ALL admins and have the powers to go with it. Dont be a dick and we could have something really great here guys.
You might want to have a look into permissions,
While it's fun to be able to spawn whatever blocks you want, you can end up with a godawful mess all over the place if you let people run riot with the OP commands...

Sure. What do you have in mind? I use the whitelist so if people try and cock it all up, I can just boot them ;P
