Nice of them to fix the camera. Unfortunately that was only one problem. :|

Resident Evil 6

Im so disappointed in this game, i played through Leons section of it and i got a migraine. The cameras to tight, the game runs in away that i get motion sickness and the end boss fight was just fucking awful.

I jumped onto Chris story lastnight with my mate, we played 5 non stop together and wanted to play the whole of 6 together, Chirs story WTF is it about, one min your in china, the next in estonia and chris is getting flash backs...all of this is like Why? why is any of this happening. And same again, to close on the cam and motion sickness. We were on chapter 2 of Chris story and i was like "lets play fifa (not that thats any better) this games is terrible"

Im so so so disappointed in this game, like seriously. i have no words, i really dont. Possibly the worst game ive ever played, well top five anyways

Started playing Leons campaign the other night(playing as Helena Harper, her arse is nicer to look at than Leons for 5 chapters, plus she has boob jiggle physics  ), on chapter 4 now. Maybe its the December patch thats sorted alot of stuff but i am really enjoying Resi 6 so far. The QTEs dont annoy me anymore in games, i've just come to expect them(especially in a Resi game). The story is always going to be barmy, just look at the source material, its all over the place with more bloody strains of virus' than ive had hot dinners. Its Resident Evil, its meant to be convoluted and wacky. Im usually a glass half full type of guy, so im always looking at the positives, don't really get why games get constantly beaten down cause its a trend to do so. All that aside i would never have spent 40 quid on this, i got it for £16, so that is a factor in my overall view.
Anyway, im hitting Chris's campaign after this for more shooty, shooty, bang, bang, Resi does Gears gameplay.
Anybody else played this since the patch? The camera must have been really bad to warrent so much negativity.

Camera was a disgrace when I played it around launch, but that was the least of my problems with it. When I see it sub £15 I'll pick it up as I am a Resi fan and want to see how the story pans out.

Has anyone played Operation Racoon City offline? Does it have a story as such?

So I played chapter 2 of Jakes campaign thus evening and was dreading it after reading people's thoughts in it. Honestly not sure what the fuss was about, found neither the snowmobile or stealth sections difficult or annoying.

I really think this game gets a bad rap, I've really enjoyed it and have finished both the Leon and Chris campaigns and just a couple of Jake chapters left then the final campaign.

I can see how the snowmobile section could be a pain due to the instant deaths but it only took me a couple of attempts. The stealth section I breezed through, just punch the bugs from behind and the path is clear.

I've noticed I'm getting through the Jake campaign much quicker than I did the previous two so should have the entire game done within the next couple of evenings.

The stealth bit was what finished me off. Was the section where you need to get the key card from the body.

My current completion status with Resi 6 is this;
Leon's campaign chapters 1-4
Chris's campaign chapters 1-2
Jake's campaign chapter 1
Ada's campaign chapter 1-2
Despite some cruel insta-death sections(die once or twice and learn from the mistakes), i'm still enjoying the ride. Haven't come across the reason for the negativity yet. Will it arrive? Who knows. I will continue playing this "allegedly" terrible game for the good of research. :P

Played more Resi 6 so if anyone does not want to have levels spoiled, DO NOT CONTINUE READING. Posting this from my phone and cant access the forum 'spoiler' option, sorry.
Spoiler: show
Played Jake 1-2 last night. The infamous snow mobile and stealth level. Done the snow mobile section on the second attempt. The knack is to follow your partners path exactly, i slipped up on first go by slightly straying and got hit by a boulder. The stealth section i had more hassle with at the start till i got the knack of smashing the sensor bugs from behind with the electro rod, this does not alert Ustanak. After that its all abut timing your move to strike them by observing their patterns beforehand.
Chris 1-3. Thoroughfare shooting mainly, pretty standard apart from a shitty section around the end of the chapter where you have to avoid chopper fire by running and jumping over barges while dodging enemies. The timing it so tight/cruel that if you bump into an enemy this will slow you just enough to get you killed insta death style. Back to the start of the run then. Died about 6 times on it so its by far been the most annoying part in the game for me, so far anyway.

All things Resident Evil

So, it looks like they're finally bringing REmake to other consoles! Quite possibly the best choice for the franchise.

I've been toying with the idea of replaying it on the Cube again but it can be a bit of a chore. This is perfect timing for both me and the series to get it back on track.

I did the same a few weeks ago, I'm psychic. Hope this means they are doing 2, 3 and Code Veronica X

I doubt it very much sadly, as those games would need a complete overhaul rather than just re-rendering in higher resolution. Still if this does well you never know - could be more profitable than a big-budget RE7...

Given the alleged state of Capcom right now, they need to make a fast profit on projects where they can REMake is one such way, very little to change in the way of assets and mechanics and can be done with a comparatively small team. Remakes of 2 and 3 especially would be very difficult and costly (though as already stated perhaps cheaper than RE7 if 6 is anything to go by). If we see anything more done it will likely be 0 and/or CV as (most of the time) as CV already exists as a HD product and upscaling 0 would be more profitable (in terms of workload) than remaking 2 and 3.

All that said, having replayed RE2 recently, I would love to see this remake sell well and get Capcom thinking about either remaking 2 or rebooting the series altogether with the best elements of the first trilogy.
