Levelling up is easier now as you can essential buy yr way to level 31. It involves grinding to an extent as u need glimmer, a commendation etc but u don't have to raid to hit 31. U only need to do that to get to lvl 32

If you like the raids there's def a few hrs content with the new one as well. Attempted it last night, very challenging but fun

What's the best way to get Ascendant Shards? I'm pretty sure one more upgrade will take me to 29 but everything needs those bloody things... I'm told Xur flogs them for strange coins but any particular activities guarantee or at least give you a high chance of getting them? I need 6 :/

Breaking down legendary weapons u no longer want, doing daily events, public events usually gets you a shard or energy.

Oh & doing the VOG will def get you shards. If you can get together with a team of 29/30's to take you through it you'll get them and have a blast in the process. I believe nokkon is offering to help take folk new to the raid through

Finished the VOG raid last night with a bunch of lads, thoroughly enjoyed it. Quite different to the rest of the game, some fantastic ideas in there and something every Destiny player should experience. Can't wait to do it again!

Had my best day yet on Destiny yesterday...

- reached level 31
- maxed out all armour (all 33 light / 1x exotic)
- got an exotic hand cannon from a Nightfall reward (The Last Word - AWESOME)
- did a full VOG run
- cheesed some Crota chests

Next up finish Crota properly, more weapons (still chasing a legendary sniper rifle which I'm close too from Vanguard), obtain raid gear etc! Loving it.

Saw Leon and some others doing VOG over the weekend - how did you get on? Can't imagine doing it at level 25, did you get through?

We got to a relatively late stage in a relatively short time although that was mainly because 5 of the 6 were level 30/31. As a lowly 25 I was holding my own for the most part until the latter stages, whereupon I kept getting one-hit-killed sniped repeatedly in doorways.

Everyone should have something legendary waiting for them with the postmaster in the tower. I got a nice auto rifle.

I got an auto rifle, Up For Anything. I already have other decent auto rifles from drops though, including Monte Carlo which was a lovely exotic obtained from the Nightfall this week. A team of us did the Vault of Glass last night all from the same clan which earned a trophy, the raids never get old, they're a true treat to play encompassing everything good about co-operative MMO gaming. I can't encourage players enough to make sure they level up enough to experience them before passing judgement on the game.

From the leaked doc it looks like we have a lot to look forward to as well

I only started playing recently – got a Titan at level 26. Haven't attempted VoG yet (or picked up the DLC) but would love to find some people to try the raids with. If anyone's planning to head through the Vault soon and fancies bringing a relative newbie along, would love to get that organised. (PS4, usually around after 8pm or so).

Also be more than up for just playing through Strike playlists, weeklies etc. with some folk – my PSN friends list is pretty bare as I've usually played MP on Xbox / PC. PSN id is genericboy.

I have finished the main part of the DLC and very much enjoyed it. It forced me into thinking about the post level 20 mechanics of the game witch I would have ignored otherwise. I'm currently doing the final bounty missions and enjoying and frustrated by them in equal measure. Now I feel ready to try the raids!!

Hi semibad - in similar boat myself. On PS4, Level 22 Warlock at moment, keen for some general Coop play as I get to grips with levelling. Can only get on once or twice a week at moment. PSN is booyip-uk - have just sent you a friend request. Keen for other PSN friends too at whatever level - i'm in no rush. Oh, and I'm a bit shit
