I've looked about a bit and not found any info - anyone know what this month's PS+ freebies are?

In other news - PlayStation Now subscriptions are now a thing. US only still, obviously, but what do we think of the price point? Translated on the current exchange rate it doesn't seem TOO unreasonable, but you know they won't do that. They'll just swap the dollars to pounds, which looks far less attractive. And the library isn't huge yet either. Anyone know when they're looking at launching it in the UK?

PS+ for March is still under negotiation apparently. Expect an announcement soon.

Excellent! Let's hope they make their way to the European PSN. I've been wanting to try Papo & Yo for a while, and fingers crossed Valiant Hearts and New & Tasty are cross buy (once New & Tasty Vita is finally released). Olli Olli 2 is a treat as well! The only one I'm not too interested there is the Sherlock Holmes game. Definitely prefer smaller indie games being on PS+ to AAA titles.

I bought Valiant Hearts in a recent sale so my initial reaction was muted, but then I looked into the other games and it looks like there's some good ones. Interested to try Sherlock Holmes. I'm sure I listened to a podcast ages ago where one of the previous games was given the same kind of reception as Deadly Premonition, bemoaning and adoring it at the same time.

I'm excited about counterspy, and I'm also keen to have a go on oddworld.
I can't shake off the feeling that OlliOlli2 is the vision of what the original felt like it should have been, but that's no bad thing, especially if score attacking is going to work like in Trials, or Spelunky.
I'm also keen to have a go on valiant hearts.
It's a good month for me.

Talking of last months games, I enjoyed playing Kick an Fennick on the Vita, right up until the difficulty curve went a little steep, so that's been bumped off ready to make space for this month's offerings. I didn't enjoy apotheon, and I feel a little guilty that I've not gone back to transistor (it's just not hooked me in the way that Bastion did)

Valiant Hearts is great I picked it up on sale. I've fancied Counterspy and Oddworld for a while but held off hoping it'd be PS+.

Olli Olli 2 can fuck off. I will make a point of not even adding the download to my account.

The rest - get in! Excited to try Oddworld. Pretty sterling month to be fair.

Yeah, that's odd haha. The first game was incredible, although frustratingly crashed an awful lot and I kind of lost faith in Roll7 to fix it. Looking forward to trying the sequel later.

I wish the Vita version of Oddworld was out though.

As with any game, OlliOlli (2) isn't going to be for everyone.

For those of us who do enjoy these sorts of maddening, tricky, skill-based score attack type doobreys though, the reviews for OlliOlli 2 are going extremely well for developer roll7.

I'm not feeling bad that I never got around to playing the first game that's for certain:

God is a Geek: 10 out of 10
Pocket Gamer UK: 9 out of 10
PSX Extreme: 9 out of 10
IGN: 9 out of 10
TheSixthAxis: 9 out of 10
PlayStation LifeStyle: 9 out of 10
Playstation Universe: 9 out of 10
Gamestyle : 9 out of 10
Push Square: 8 out of 10
Digital Spy : 4 out of 5
GamesRadar: 3 out of 5

Not bad for a 'freebie' anyway! :)

Oh I have a totally irrational hatred for Olli Olli because I desperately want to love the game, but hate the controls. I was a Tony Hawk player back in the day, I spent hours perfecting the Holy Shit grind, completing every task, the lot. I was good at it. So a game with nods to that in trick / score attack form on the best handheld ever made? Yes please. Old school graphics? Bring it on! I shelled out for it and couldn't wait. I just think there's a chip missing in me that means I can't compute the control system AT ALL, so every run ends in me wanting to crush my Vita into a fine mist. The rage is also down to jealousy that so many people 'get it' too.

While I fully appreciate the good time most people have with the game, with all due respect, it can fuck off.

I found out last night that the control system confuses the heck out of my brain too, but fortunately not to that extent!

OlliOlli2 is so strange in that I can only play it with any skill if I try and disengage my brain a bit. Any time I try to think about it to pull off better tricks etc I just fall to pieces, truly a game you have to play with your hands rather than your head.

I played olli olli 2 on ps4 last night.
I can understand why people hate it, especially if they're big tony hawk fans. Trying to detach my brain from "X to jump" is tough going
I also found that I prefer playing on the vita to the ps4. I prefer the wee little thumbsticks.

Yeah I thought I might be able to play it with the D-pad on Vita, but you can't.

:(

I can't get my Vita fixed till the end of the month though.

Looking forward to playing it though, how does it compare to the first?
