Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
A couple of suggestions. Both quite story heavy games which are great experiences:
Kentucky Route Zero
That dragon cancer

They’re both already on the list.

1800+ games on there, but you guys do still surprise me sometimes (or at least, what’s missing from the list surprises me)!

Just to make sure, did you catch the Klonoa, Spyro, Pony Island, Medieval, The Movies, Theme Park, Hospital, Overwatch, Infinifactory and Myth suggestions from last page? I think that some might have flown under the radar.

I think they're all already on there, apart from maybe Infinifactory.
I'll check though.
I'll check though.
Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Ay what point does the "Game Suggestions" list just become a catalogue of game releases .
Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
There’s a long way to go for that, I suspect I could name a few hundred c64 and Amiga games you’ve never heard of

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is on our long list already. Sadly they never got to continue the series!

Hahahahahahaha, I got one !!!
I’m playing through it now actually, enjoying it, it’s rather unique in a few cool ways.
Feels like a GBA game touched up to be a DS game.
Loads of Toads too .

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
It's a rather sexist game, albeit with some interesting mechanics - which would probably make for interesting conversation.

Yeah, I kind of dug into the history of it a while ago when I was looking at DS games and it seemed to ruffle a lot of feathers.ratsoalbion wrote: ↑October 18th, 2018, 1:51 pm It's a rather sexist game, albeit with some interesting mechanics - which would probably make for interesting conversation.
There’s a few odd game design choices ‘asthetically’ that literally make me stop and wonder. Even Kayleigh screwed her face when I was showing her.
Then, somewhere in all that there’s a cool little multitask platformer with a shop, mini games, library all set in the Mario universe.
It’s a pretty interesting game .

Someone recently picked up the rights to it... at the very least we might see it as a back compat on the XBO, but there’s a chance we might get more games in this series after all...
Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
I think it was Nordic or Koch. The whole situation regarding the investment and capital for the project is really interesting as well.Flabyo wrote: ↑October 18th, 2018, 3:16 pmYet.ratsoalbion wrote: ↑October 18th, 2018, 1:40 pmKingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is on our long list already. Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Is the Assault Suits series on the list?
I've only played the SNES entry Assault Suits Valken (aka Cybernator), and it really is very good - ahead of it's time I'd say in terms of how it plays compared to contemporary run and gun games like the Contra series. I found it incredibly hard to play when I was younger, but coming back to it now the combat is very tactical for a 16 bit title, utilising a kind of strafing you might see in a more contemporary 3D combat game, and it's actually one of the more manageable/least frustrating shooters on the SNES.
