What's Out This Week?
Re: What's Out This Week?
£25 on Switch! I'm interested, but I'm only about £12.99 interested. I did enjoy the first one.

River City Girls looks like it’ll be fun for those who are sad that the Scott Pilgrim game was delisted.

Re: What's Out This Week?
I must be stuck in the past. WoW Classic was the thing I was most excited for and now I only want those Spyro and Final Fantasy VIII remasters.

A Word Of Caution On Monster Hunter World: Iceborne for those considering getting it.

Re: What's Out This Week?
I never know how to feel about this sort of thing.
On one hand, open-ended loot-based grindy action-RPGs like MH are infamously difficult to balance properly to accommodate players of all skill levels, especially ahead of release.
On the other hand, I really don't like the idea of an entire player base having an entitled knee-jerk reaction to a game's initial difficulty curve that forces future changes and updates. You see a similar thing happening with the constant nerf/buff vicious cycle of certain fighting games when players think they know better than the designers after two weeks of playing. The line between customer service and the developer's vision gets very blurry sometimes, same as the whole Sekiro debacle.

Re: What's Out This Week?
I admit I skimmed the article after reading a few paras, but I think the writer (who is a pretty hardcore guy himself) was just warning that you really need to have completed the game, and ground out a few further levels, if you're to get anything out of this DLC. And I assume most people buying it would have done so, but it's a fair warning.KSubzero1000 wrote: ↑September 5th, 2019, 12:15 pm I never know how to feel about this sort of thing.

Re: What's Out This Week?
Thing is, you're only buying Monster Hunter DLC if you've pretty much seen everything the base game has to offer, surely? Otherwise what's the point, you might as well carry on playing that?
EDIT: Hmm, having read the article it's a fair point I guess. He'd 'finished' the game and still wasn't ready. I guess you'd assume if you've seen a credit roll you'd be good to go.

Re: What's Out This Week?
Pro & Daemon X Machina for me this week.
Neither of which I'll probably play this week.
Pro's first Data patch won't drop until the following weekend (crazy mad that that is still a thing) - so unless you want to play with last Christmas' squads avoid. Also you have to wait a for as long as you can for a good Option file.
Daemon X Machina will have to wait as ones plate is overfloweth at the mo.
This will probably fall way back, as Link Awakening is out the week after and I'll certainly be playoff through that again.
I also want to play Borderlands 3 but I'm going to wait to hear what the single player experience is like first, as if its a bit shallow single player then I'll give it a miss I think.
Games. Games. And Games.

Re: What's Out This Week?
New DxM demo seems well better than the last one. Performance is snappy, looks better, good stuff. Lord knows how I'll fit it in so will prob save it for a couple of months. Still loving Fire Emblem and starting to open up Astral Chain which is fantastic so far. One of the genuine perks of working away from home is sitting on my arse for hours in the hotel playing Switch games.

Re: What's Out This Week?
Now, this Telltale collection is under the new branding/ownership, correct?
Re: What's Out This Week?
I buckled and picked up Pro Evo .
Re: What's Out This Week?
I don’t mate, no. Sadly.
Master League and myClub generally.
I enjoy the team evolution of Master League still, even with its massive flaws.
Then myClub offers me a break from the constant team improvement mechanic and lets me mess about with players you’d normally never interact with in say a Master League.
It’s a pilgrimage for me and I don’t know where I’d be without it.
Re: What's Out This Week?
Ah, I was thinking about Master League rather than MyClub, I think. Last year my brother was pretty much just leaving the PS4 on and simming and simming. It's no way to live
Re: What's Out This Week?
Might as well play Champ for that experience, it would be a million times better .
But mind you, everyone has their preference I suppose.
Just a blooming annoyance that I have to wait until Thursdays for the first (current) squad data pack, then probably the week after for the Option files to go up on PES World etc...
