I found this black box lying around at work:

I can't really work out what it's for. Is it worth having? I've read the description but don't really understand the point of it! Any ideas?
Thanks
Anyone know what this does?

“The Dell Docking Station WD15 is a device that links all your electronic devices to your computer using a USB Type-C cable interface. Connecting the computer to the docking station allows you to access all peripherals (mouse, keyboard, stereo speakers, external hard drive, and large-screen displays) without having to plug each one into the computer.”
Reading is fun!

Ha!
Yes I did read that too and was none the wiser.
EDIT: OK hang on, I think I see the point. You'd have all that set up and plugged in to the docking station and then just plug your laptop in with one cord instead of having to manually plug everything in every time you brought the laptop back. Saves a little time I guess.

Hmm OK, thanks, I guess I kind of get what it's for. Not sure why we've got one here though!Caligulas Horse wrote: ↑September 18th, 2019, 3:09 pm Haha. I think this should answer your questions:
