I got really confused because I thought I bought a four hundred but in my inventory it says 40! Then I realised they are multiples of 10!

Looking to use this as a springboard to pay off my loan.

I finally got my shop built last night and was disappointed it's only open 8am to 10pm. I don't usually play until around 10:30pm (I've only seen my island in daylight a couple of times!) I know I can change the clock on my Switch but didn't really want to cheat, it also means I'm missing out on turnips as I didn't realise they're only available during the morning on a Sunday.

:(

Aside from this, I'm really loving the game. Used my first air ticket two nights ago and invited someone to the island, now Tom Nook has asked me to sort out their house and stuff. I adore the museum, love designing clothes and canvases to hang on my wall.

I'm not certain whether this feature has made it across, but in New Leaf you could eventually choose the opening times of the shops and so on, to have the game world suit your real life better.

There’s various stages of upgrading all the shops, so hopefully that feature is in there, as like you both say, that would be handy for players.

Oh cool, fingers crossed then! It's not the end of the world I guess, you can still use the drop box or I can store everything to sell and just nip in for five minutes in the day.

See, I love doing that.

Saving stuff up and unloading it all at once.

Mega satisfying.

Yeah it's cool. I've got a couple hundred thousand bells stored now. I've gone and built my shop the opposite side of the island to my residential services tent assuming there would be a cash machine in the shop and there isn't, doh! Never mind. Is there any purpose to depositing cash because I had been every time I was carrying over 10k, but it seems pointless really I guess.

So, yeah, kinda.

Your purse can only hold 100,000 bells max.

Then, any overflow goes into your inventory.

So you don’t lose any, it just stacks elsewhere.

I try and save all my bells and if I need any dosh, just do some stuff to earn it 😎.

Ah yeah, realised this last night when my money in my pocket suddenly went from 90 odd thousand to 4k after selling something. I was worried for a second then I found it in my inventory, ha. I also realised last night you can plant money trees. And I had my most impressive fishing catch yet - an...

109 Bells this morning confirms my Turnip prices are fluctuating this week. Sorry folks, looks like I won't be any use for selling Neeps.

I've got 209 at mine today, if anyone fancies cashing in.

I'm still unsure but at that price and with the SMM2 update out, I can double my money quick.

Cool. I had my first two people move in to my island over the last couple of nights. One of them, a cool looking gazelle type thing, seems nice and friendly, but the other one I find really irritating  Pate, who appears to be some sort of duckbilled creature is really neurotic and you can't have a normal conversation with him (her?).

Eventually there are ways to move residents along, I believe. Haven't considered doing so, but then I don't have Pate on my island. ;)
