Hah - first thing I said to Kodama on the headset when we finished that race was "I've just completely robbed ColinAlonso of a victory on the finish line". Really enjoyed it as usual though I'm not the biggest fan of the battle mode - prefer racing.
Always down for another one whenever the community fancies it!

I both love and loathe the battle mode so much. I think I either ended up with zero or 4 balloons/coins and rarely anything in the middle. At least with the racing I was consistently at the back of the pack so didn’t get my hopes up.

I never play battle mode, I didn't even know what I was doing. I just tried to avoid everyone. I finished third once though. Also that Splatoon track is all nasty right angle walls that seem to be quite the opposite of the other battle mode courses.

Also I really like how they’ve updated Kalimari Desert. I think it might be one of my favorite tracks in the game now.
