Welcome, always glad to see new members. I agree, I appreciate how C&R isn't just chasing headlines or the newest hotness.

Afternoon All!
I have been listening for a few years now off and on, alongside many other Video Game podcasts and I honestly can't find a Podcast that compares to C&R.
Just joined the Patreon which is an absolute steal at 2 quid a month!
Busy job and 3 kids means that I get limited time to play but I try and get as many games under my belt each year as I can.
I have a PS5, Series X, Quest 2 and 3060Ti in my PC so that no matter what platform, I can play! The wonders of being a grown up
.
Look forward to chatting and enjoying the content with you all.

Re: The "Introduce yourself" thread
Hi Guys. Just started listening to your podcast at the start of the year after listening to Retro Asylum for many many many years. Often heard the name Cane & Rinse pop up in RA and just ignored it for some reason. So glad I started listen as for the whole month of January I've pretty much been exclusively listening to old episodes of C&R and loving it!
Also, as someone who also grew up in Brighton in the 80's and 90's it's nice to hear the occasional moments of reminiscing about the old video game shops and arcades in Brighton during those decades from Leon. Really miss all those old arcades down West Street and along the beach. Also miss the many many second hand video game shops that used to exist. TCM in the old Jubilee Shopping Hall was my fave!
Thanks guys!

Welcome, D!
I was a regular at TCM. I wonder if that guy is still around.

Re: The "Introduce yourself" thread
Hello all.
I've been listening to Cane and Rinse as my work commute podcast for a long while now (even episodes when I haven't played the game in question). I live near Lockerbie in South West Scotland. Now in my early forties but have been gaming since I was about nine or ten. Most console generations I buy whatever Nintendo have out alongside one of the other two depending on which one is less up their own at the time. I have a games blog that I write alongside my 16 year old son.

Re: The "Introduce yourself" thread
Hi there!
I discovered the podcast about a month ago and thought, if the podcast is this good, the community will be too.
Short introduction
I got a Gameboy when I was 6 (1994), and after that the SNES and the N64. Around 2000 I got into PC gaming. Back then I mainly played multiplayer shooters, with the exception of Diablo II, WoW, and later on, Starcraft II. I played some singleplayers, but always lost focus a few hours in. Since the birth of my son in 2016, my interest in games vanished for a while. Since 2021, I'm back in and often enjoy co-op games with my son on the Switch. I've found I have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to singleplayers and now try to give them the patience they deserve.
Anyway, I enjoy your thoughts on games and love the in-depth analyses of the podcast.

Re: The "Introduce yourself" thread
Hello, nice to meet everyone...I've been an avid listener of Cain and Rinse for going on 6 months. I started with your first episode and currently finishing the R-Type and R-Type 2 show. I love every bit of your show and will eventually catch up to your current episodes. As a gamer of 40 years, I just wanna say bravo on your episode quality. I listen to you on my job as a courier on Spotify and it really makes the day easier. I also recently joined your Patreon as a subscriber. Keep up the excellent content.
Listener from across the pond,
Brian
