Post by dezm0nd »

Give me your Wii U friend name thingymabob and i'll get you onto my friends list! Once we're all fired up and ready to die, we'll organise weekly hunts.

Dezm0nd is me!

The Monster Hunter multiplayer thread!

I've kept my eye on the Monster Hunter thread for too long but surely this game deserves a nice community gaming thread to cover the hunts I'd love to start with anybody out there that owns a copy.

It's a little hard keeping up to date with miiverse messages so post in here if you're free and willing to hunt a monster or 20.

I'd totally be up for some more evenings of hunting. I'll certainly join in if we can get this up and running again.

Anybody free tomorrow night (Saturday)? Perhaps 10pm?

Just about to hunt the Plesioth in the single player which sounds like the easiest quest yet (at least on paper) so I should be up to spec for at least a few of the hunts online, I'll try to raise my online HR a little in advance.

I'd be up for tomorrow too.

It's really useful to have a bow/gunlance user in the party as well. It's always a boon to have that.

I'm a dual swords and longsword user myself. I tend to prefer the latter, but I hear it's not really the best weapon to use in groups. I've never seen it be a problem myself though. Either when I've been using one, or when I've been in a party with someone else with one.

Don't give a second thought to not bringing a longsword if that's what you fancy.

I'm going to treat this in a Persona 4 manner, if we all go into the smoke together there's no telling who'll get hit in the face by what or who! I've had a few games online and every one has been pretty exciting regardless of success, I've read up on the online etiquette stuff to ensure I'm no hindrance but even if I'm terrible I'm sure we'll enjoy it.

Looks like I'm building towards Jhen Mohran in the single player but consulting the guides for Tanzia quests there's a steeper climb than imagined.

Just setting a room up at Novices A>Lobby 7>Canenrinse

Password is: car

Got a bunch of HR2 quests to get through but went solo on the boring quests.

See you in there! :)

I'll leave my browser on the forums if we get any issues.

Sorry guys, my connection went for a second. Want to set up a new one and I'll be there in a few mins or simply join you through the friend list?

Thanks all, great games had (got lost in chat and the gameplay was a blur)! Best get another one on for next week.

It might be a little late notice but I'm ready to hunt this evening at 9pm.

I'll post the server details later. Anyone is welcome!

Edit: Bit of a delay, most likely sometime around 10pm now.

You're free to set up a game mate. I've been burnt out from the game after somehow spending 70 hours playing over 2 weeks whilst working overtime. I'll be getting back on board again but I'm switching focus to Xenoblade Chronicles for the second (which at 15 hours is still stunning).

I'll certainly jump in for an hour or two if you've got a time set, maybe next weekend right after the Mario Karts?

Xenoblade Chronicles is great! Quite long if I recall correctly, but I think it holds up all the way to the end. Regarding Monster Hunter, I don't think I'll be able to play after the Mario Kart session seeing as it starts at 22:00 where I'm at, but I'll write another message or update this one when I can host a game.
