Spelunky Sundays!

Post by dezm0nd »

It's Spelunky Sunday! Get on the daily challenge on either PS4 or PSVita and we'll compare how far we get and how much money we have before our inevitable death.

add Gargette on the PS4 if you haven't already :)

It's normally the other way around for me, in that my Vita shows up earlier than the web page, but this month it was the other way around.
Picked them up via the web page instead, although my vita does this odd thing where it seems to pause downloading after about half an hour, I have to give my vita a prod.

I'm going to see if I can fire up spelunky for the first time on my lunch break today.

Added a poll for clarity as to which Sony platform the majority have to take part in.

Wow, I don't think I've got a score that high in regular mode.
So for a big score, is it how far you get, or how much treaaure?

Ultimately it's how much treasure you get but by virtue of getting farther, you get more treasure!

There are however, tonnes of neat tricks and secrets to get silly amounts no matter where you are.

I was playing it on 360 the other day and I don't recall seeing it in the menu.

Good idea, up for this. How about a double whammy with Pix The Cat? I'm loving it and everyone must have this too (with PS+ anyway)

Vita - Level 4-2, $180825

Actually a shockingly good run for me. Managed to get the Kapala fairly quickly and almost made it to the City of Gold, but was one bomb shy to get in. Also found a Jetpack in a crate!

My death came to a thwomp, which I thought I was just avoiding but was *just* slightly on the edge of. Had I avoided it, I think I may have had a shout at victory!
