Podcast Service/App Suggestions?

The other day I got myself a new (to me) phone after being stuck with an old iPhone for ages, freeing me from the clutches of Apple and the infuriating iTunes. But now I am left without a tool to collate and listen to podcasts, and having only ever used iTunes, I don't really know what else is out there. So I was wondering if the community here can give some suggestions on what good programs/apps there are out there to do the job.

What I need is something that I can use both on a PC and phone (Android), that lets me sync between each version so I can pick up where I left off on unfinished episodes, and that lets me download stuff so I don't have to rely on mobile Internet. Basically something that at least does the stuff iTunes does, but without having to deal with iTunes.

I use Beyond Pod on Android. Works perfectly for what I need. Most have trials though so try a few and see which feels best for you.
