This week host Chris O’Regan chats to Mila Ilek of MuHa games, the creators of Thea 2: The Shattering about how it came to be.
Many medieval based games gloss over how hard life was in those times. The safety nets we enjoy today were utterly absent and life was a constant struggle. Thea: The Awakening and its sequel Thea 2: The Shattering are titles that are based in a mystical realm where magic is real and strange monsters lurk in almost every dark corner and pulls no punches as it models how harsh life was back then. The player takes on the role of a deity that is charged with guiding a small party of people who live in the world the player oversees. This is a very deep game with minutia embraced as a key component to the experience it delivers.
