Dead Rising – Cane and Rinse No.493

“It doesn’t sound like civil disobedience. It’s too quiet.”

Regrettably late for Halloween and the game’s 15th anniversary (as well as the fifth anniversary of its last-gen rerelease), we tardily tackle Capcom’s zombie-infested mall simulator, Dead Rising. Leon, Jon, Karl and community contributors ruminate upon whether the notoriously bounce-offable 2006 title was in fact ahead of the curve, with its RPG roguelite elements and emphasis on learning by doing, dying and retrying.
