With some trepidation but no little enthusiasm Leon, Josh, Sean and guest Dan Clark take on the phenomenon that was Street Fighter II. Starting with a look back at the original Street Fighter (1987) before moving in to Street Fighter II: The World Warrior these dauntless urban thoroughfare pugilists then trace the Turbo highs, Super lows, and other revisions (both official and unofficial) all the way through to Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

Hi Cain & Rinse, thank you very much for your podcasts! One of my best friends introduced me last year (shout out to Dave P.) and since then I haven’t really stopped listening. With such a library on offer, I feel spoilt for choice! This particular one resonated with me through the way you described your love for this game in great detail. When I was younger, I was pretty obsessed with beat-em-ups and would play any and all I could get my hands on (Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Samurai Shodown etc. ). Although Street Fighter was generally my favorite, it didn’t stop me from discovering new releases via game magazines (one particular mag springs to mind was one imported from the US…cost quite a penny and think it was called GamePro). The way you discuss your personal experiences on games almost (scarily) reflects my own memories and passion for this hobby. I too used to spend many hours around arcades when growing up and to this day I still chat often about games with my other best friend (shout out to Chris P, bro of Dave P!). Listening to your podcast fills me up with a warm nostalgic feeling inside and reminds me why I love videogames so much. Thank you for all your hard work and I look forward to hearing more releases!
