Crashlands is one of those rare breed of games that approaches a genre
that is tough to develop for yet pulls it off with some very clever
design decisions driven by relentless playtesting. We are referring to
survival action adventures that first came into being with the arrival
of Minecraft. Chris O’Regan chats to Sam Coster of Butterscotch
Shenanigans about the development of Crashlands and how it broke free
from the shackles of the aimlessness game play experience that blights
many titles in this genre.
