Virtua Racing – Cane and Rinse No.536

“Time bonus!”

Looking back a bit further than we did in our previous SEGA arcade racer podcasts on Daytona USA and SEGA Rally, we take a look at the mighty Model 1’s Virtua Racing (V.R.). Leon, Chris, Karl, Tony and community correspondents remember the sheer footprint of the arcade machine and the excitement of seeing a large amount of solid polygons whirling around at a decent and consistent frame rate. As usual with this type of show we also look at the various conversions and ports that followed on Mega Drive, 32X, Saturn, PS2 and Switch.
