I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream – Cane and Rinse No.442

“A spark of humanity somewhere. Always that wretched little spark.”

Bleak, dystopian, depressing – and that’s just 2020. It’s not funny because it’s true. To distract from the day-to-day misery, Leon, Jesse, Jon and Ryan enter the Hell-realm that is Cyberdreams’ 1995 point and click adaptation of Harlan Ellison’s grim short story from 30 years prior, I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.

Music featured in this issue:

1. Introduction by John Ottman

2. Ted’s Fatal Flaw by John Ottman

Cane and Rinse 442 was edited by Jay Taylor

  1. One of your presenters has a bad uptalk problem? I hope you can curb this somewhat in future episodes? It is fairly annoying to listen to? Where every single statement sounds like a question? Otherwise, you put good quality podcasts and I really enjoy them? Please keep up the good work? Thank you?

  2. I mean, we’re doing our best. We’re not trying to annoy people.

  3. Great episode 2020 has been a year that’s made me cling to the mushroom kingdom like never before. The effort of getting through that story sounded harrowing as hell loved the conversation around the game. 90s pc gaming is fascinating! No annoyance here apart from wishing the nazi character received some kind of painful possibly bear based grizzly ending

  4. I apologise for being unduly harsh on the team. It’s just a pet peeve of mine, uptalk.
