I love this. Steven Gutheinz‘s 20 minute soundtrack for inventive Spanish platform-puzzler NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (formerly Icarian: Kindred Spirits) has haunted me – in the best way possible – since I first heard it upon downloading the WiiWare version of the game in the summer of 2009. It was one of those where I left the game sitting on the title screen for a good long while as I let the rich atmosphere cultivated by the music envelop me before diving into the interactive part of the experience.
Helios is my favourite piece (narrowly, from this one), effortlessly conjuring up the mystery and majesty of a sun-baked ancient Greece.
