This week, Chris O’Regan chats to Chris Seavor and Shawn Pile of Gory Detail about the creation of The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup.
A vast majority of puzzle platform games grant direct control of the main protagonist and demands the player understands the complexities of solving puzzles while overcoming dexterity based challenges. Some, however, go a different route by demanding the player alter the environment the character is in to ensure their passage to through a level is safe and productive. This is a tricky thing to pull off, but Gory Detail, the creators of The Unlikely Legend of Rusty pup have managed to pull it off with some significant success.
