Something quite odd and wonderful happened in the early ’80s in the UK. It was the sudden arrival of 8 bit computers on the high street, and the nation became gripped by these underpowered computers that no-one knew what to do anything with. These machines ushered in the UK’s videogames development industry. Tom Lean chats to show host Chris O’Regan about his recently released book, Electronic Dreams, which charts the history of this key part of computing history.
