No More Heroes – Cane and Rinse No.41

“If I become number one, will you do it with me?”

Leon, Darren Forman, Josh and Sinan Kubba discuss the tenth game by Goichi Suda’s Grasshopper Manufacture – No More Heroes. The Wii original game released in 2007/2008 to some critical acclaim but pitiful sales. Since then this game has become something of a cult classic rewarded with an HD update in the shape of Heroes’ Paradise and a sequel – Desperate Struggle – also covered in this podcast.

  1. I’m with Leon with most of my plentiful criticisms of both games.

Suda has a good and unique imagination, with a bit of rebellious/uncensorship characteristics about him, but they are almost always not expressed or implemented well. Too often its childish, mindless and contradictive.

    Again, good imagination though.

p.s More Sinan is always a good thing.

  2. Yeah we love Sinan. If he didn’t have his fingers in so many pies I’d happily have him as a regular C&R contributor.
